In our global cultures, numbers matter. In our finances larger number of net worth mean a lot. But in God’s Kingdom large numbers do not matter. Think of the mustard seed. Think of David against Goliath. Think of Moses and Pharaoh. Power, size, numbers do not mean anything in His Kingdom.
I was reading in Isaiah where it says,
“The smallest one will become a clan, And the least one a mighty nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.” (Isa. 60:22)
God delights in doing big things with small and insignificant numbers, minimal resources and inferior human power. This reality, reflected in the verse above gives me and us hope that He can and will use even us.
Seems all we need to do is step out looking to Him to exponentially multiply our efforts.
