Good Talkers?

I have been reading through 1 Corinthians this week. Yesterday I was pondering the verse: “For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.” (1 Cor. 4:20)

Many Christians around the world look for good talkers, great speakers, charisma in leaders and articulate writers to determine if they are worthy of being followed.

Paul made it clear; talk is cheap and deceptive as an indicator of godliness. The real issue is this: Is the power of kingdom of God working through the leader or speaker?

The question for me is, “Am I seeing the power of the kingdom of God working in and through my life?” Ask yourself the same question.

Think about this verse.
