I’ve been reading in Joshua recently. This one verse jumped off the page when I read it.
“Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.” (Joshua 21:45)
Think about this. Everything the Lord promised to Israel happened. No matter how impossible it was, the Lord brought it about.
Think of some of the promises He makes for us today. For example:
“I am with you always even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” (John 14:27)
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension will guard our heart and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
These are only 3 of hundreds of promises He has made to us, His children. Take a moment to reflect on them.
What other promises come to your mind? Thank Him for His amazing faithfulness.
