Just last week in the U.S., we celebrated Thanksgiving – a time to pause and spend time with loved ones and reflect on all our blessings.

I want to take a moment to express gratitude to each one of you. Your partnership is vital to our ministry, and your prayers have a significant impact.

I consider it a privilege to partner with you each week in praying for our brothers and sisters around the world.

In building any and everything, in and for God, there are some basic building principles that must be adhered to. Just like with any natural building, its foundation is the strength behind the structure of that building. The foundation dictates the height, width, and weight of a building. A small foundation dictates that you have a small building. A deep and wide foundation dictates that you can have a building of some size and height. In God’s Kingdom prayer is the foundation for all things. Prayer is the principle component that you need to build or do anything in, or for God. – T. Owens

Prayer really is the foundation for all things. Thank you for praying with us each and every week.

Giving thanks to Him,

man-1031385_pixabayAstounding words: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places …”. (Eph. 1:3)

The Father blessed us through Christ and we have every spiritual blessing. It is hard to fathom what is contained in this verse. Here are some questions to ponder:

  • What are some of the “spiritual blessings” that come to your mind?
  • The Father did this for us through Christ. What sacrifices did The
Father and Son make on our behalf?

One could spend hours on these questions but with only a surface understanding, it is no wonder that Paul blessed the Father. Take a moment to bless Him.

Thanksgiving – A Holy Day in Every Believer’s Heart

Dear MentorLink friends “HAPPY THANKSGIVING”!

Pray without ceasing,

Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Ephesians 5:20
Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift
2 Corinthians 9:15
For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God
2 Corinthians 4:15
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry
1 Timothy 1:11-12

thanksgiving verseThese are amazing verses on thanksgiving for all of us to meditate on. Paul says in those verses to give thanks in everything, for everything, always and abounding. The Greek word for thanksgiving “eucharistia” means good and grace, well and grace. It is well with our souls because of grace. Grace is so, so good. Paul said: Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift! Salvation by grace – we are so thankful. We are given zoe-life by grace – thank You. Church is a gift to us; thank You. The Bible, God’s eternal, precise Word – thank You. The Gospel message in our hearts – thank You. An eternal purpose to glorify God – thank You. Friends that love at all times – thank You. Tests and trials to meet Jesus in – thank You. Security in Jesus – thank You. The fruit of the Spirit in us and through us – thank You. The Finished Work life in Christ – thank You. Heaven as our home forever with Jesus – thank You. Rather than concentrate or focus on all the negative things in life, we can so easily look to Jesus and be thankful. This decision to be thankful comes from receptivity to the truth in Jesus. Thank you for receiving from Him, and walking in life as a witness and testimony to this world.

Thank you, thank you.
Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.
2 Corinthians 9:11

Psalm 106:1
Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

thankfulheartFor those of us in the USA, the Thanksgiving holiday is just around the corner.  It’s a wonderful time for us to pause and reflect wherever we are.

We have so much to thank Him for. Please join me in offering praise to the Father for His abundant blessings.

We are thanking the Lord for the many volunteers like Bill and Kent who sacrificially give of their time and talent to further the Great Commission through the ministry of MentorLink.

And we want to express our gratitude to each one of you. Your partnership is vital to our ministry, and your prayers and financial support further the Kingdom.

Because of you, lives are changed. Take a moment and connect with us; we’d love to hear from you!

Giving thanks to Him,

“Biblical thanksgiving does not focus on our circumstances, but on the character of God. Circumstances change; God does not.” — M. Youssef
