The Common Good

This morning I read in 1 Cor. 12:7, “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good”.

Each follower of Jesus is a carrier of the Holy Spirit. What’s more, we are carriers not for ourselves but for the common good.

This is amazing. Each believer I meet has something to give to us, the Body of Christ.

So the questions each of us must ask: “What is my gift? How does Jesus want me to use it? How am I doing with helping others through my gift?”
